Why should that matter? [In reply to]	Can't Post

Anthony Hopkins was excellent in all three Hannibal Lecter films � why should there be a 'stigma' associated with the role that makes him a less desirable choice for another character such as Thorin? For me it's quite the reverse � with Hannibal he proved himself to be an immensely talented actor, and there are very few who can rival the presence or gravitas he brought to the part. I would have been delighted if Hopkins had been cast as Thorin � or Smaug, or Radagast, or just about anyone.
