The Hobbit is basically a children's book. It's far simpler in plot and style than LOTR. I have no problem with Raimi or anyone else describing it as a kid-friendly book or film-to-be. I do have a problem with people who class LOTR as a children's book. It's not. It's long, it's difficult, it's violent, it's deep. I think Raimi would be a pretty good choice to direct The Hobbit if PJ can't make it. I love what he's done with Spider-Man.
