I don't know if anyone has noticed

But a thread in the Hobbit movie forum
Might well win the prize for been the longest, unwieldy and hardest to follow in history. And might become a bit unpleasant, though it seems just about all right at the moment. Started of been a nice innocent enquiry about a barrel ride as well, but is now approaching a wopping near 200 posts! Worth keeping an eye on although I expect someone is.

We'll need to lock it if it reaches 300 posts

as after that, it can make that discussion board difficult to open.

If you're reading the discussion in flat mode, try switching to threaded - that'll make it easier for you to follow the subthreads.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauronís master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

It has taken on something of a life of it's own...

...hasn't it? I've been fascinated with the length of this discussion. I have to admit I have to refer back to the thread title to remind me what it is actually supposed to be about.
