Walk to Rivendell and Beyond - There and Back Again Challenge!

Okay, so I'm behind on posting again this week. sigh. Getting the kids ready for school has involved helping them completely reorganize their rooms and, well, it's been a busy time. I do apologize.

How's it going for you all this week? Where have your physical activities brought you on your Middle Earth journeys?

The highlight for Beamer and me was the parade we walked in today. Because the USA Pro Challenge (bike race) went through our city a couple hours after the parade, I didn't try to park anywhere near the parade route, so Beamer and I got in about seven miles this morning!

Back to school!

Hi! This summer has been super busy and already it's back to school time! I'm off work this week to help ShyElf The Younger get ready for her first year at University. So exciting. Almost as much for mom (maybe more) as it is for daughter! She's still a Film Major - but her focus at University will be Screenwriting.

Here is my mileage

Miles since my last post: 22 (wow! still amazes me!)
Cumulative Miles: 134.5
Goal: There and Back again.

Yesterday - Mr ShyElf and I enjoyed a day at Fan Expo 2013 (big convention in Canada). Here we are at the Lego Bag End display happily promoting DoS: (if I can figure out how to attach it!) Tongue

Cheers!

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Lazy week...

We still have two weeks of school holidays ahead of us here, one of which the daughter and I will spend visiting my father for his 80th birthday. I'm quite ready for the holidays to end, though... Daughter does a lot better with a fixed routine - at the moment she is a bit too lazy and too easily bored.

Anyway, my mileage last week wasn't the best (I've been a bit lazy, too):
Miles last week: 29
Cumulative miles: 1065
Challenge: There and Back Again

I have no idea where I am, actually. I'll just follow the wizard over there, I guess.

'There is some woe that lies upon you... Why will you not tell me more?'
'For that woe is past,' said Galadriel; 'and I would take what joy is here left, untroubled by memory. And maybe there is woe enough yet to come, thought still hope may seem bright.'
