Lego Gandalf at Dol Guldur

Can anyone work out what this map is of?

http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/30213_Gandalf_at_Dol_Guldur?file=30213_alt1.jpg

If it's the map of the Lonely Mountain that would suggest Gandalf has been to Dol Guldur and met Thrain there prior to the unexpected journey (as in the book). This fits with Boyen's quotes that the Gandalf in Dol Guldur flashback scenes were cut from the unexpected party in AUJ.

How they would explain the fact Gandlaf failed to discuss his experience of Dol Guldur in the first film is one of the biggest mysteries about the third film IMO. Thoughts?

"Durin's Heir you may be, but even with one eye you should see clearer. If this is victory, then our hands are too small to hold it. We will not enter Khazad-dum. You will not enter Khazad-dum. Beyond the shadow of the gate it waits for you still: Durin’s Bane. The world must change and some other power than ours must come before Durin’s Folk walk again in Moria.”

Looks like an escape route to Mordor.

I'm pretty sure that's a generic LEGO map...

Frankly I wouldn't recommend looking for clues in LEGO sets.

There are no coincidences

Still looks like an escape route to Mordor. I'm sure they planned it all out with Lego years ago. Wink

It's a generic map

It's been used in sets in a variety of themes since 2008. If it was a map of Erebor, it would most likely be a sticker, which wouldn't come in a polybag :)
