Here's a clickable link:

And FYI, this is how you do it:

{url "http://elvenbutterflies.tumblr.com/post/54881582834/the-moment-weve-all-been-waiting-for-my-day-with"}Click here{/url}

But simply replace the curly brackets { } with square brackets [ ]. Or you can type:

Your link doesn't work

but I've made MotS's clickable.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Well ... that's embarrassing.

Any idea what might have happened Ataahua? It was working before I made the edit (adding how to make a link clickable). Promise!

I'm not sure, sorry Daniel.

When I make links I use the link tool in the tool bar (the chain icon on the far right, just above the message box) - it's the foolproof cheat's way of live-linking.

I ended up just google searching for it and it was a good read

Not much derived from it because she had to sign confidentiality papers, but she still said things about how thranduil has a great sword, the acting was spectacular, the cast was super nice, and goes in to great detail with that.... But, she does tell us about bombur's fighting spoon, and how thranduil has two crowns, one for his kingdom and the other for battle

I know!

But it was just precious! And all that "teen" speak. Never did decipher some of her acronyms! Can't wait to see the pics!

I played around with it a bit and I think...

the problem was that you somehow got an extra "http://" in your URL. But your examples didn't have it, so your tutorial was correct. Smile

One other thing to be aware of: The instructions you gave are for Markup links, not HTML, so if you're using Basic Editor, you have to make sure that you select "Markup" or "Markup and HTML" for your post style or it will just show all the code and not be clickable.

Since I use Advanced Editor, I use the link (chain) icon for my URLs.

1. Highlight the text you want to use for your link, i.e. "Click here"
2. Click the Link icon
3. Delete the existing "http://" in the popup box and paste in your URL
4. Click Submit

And there you go. Smile

Thanks Silverlode :-)

Thank you for having a fiddle (and editing it so it works). Maybe I typed in the extra http:// without thinking. I've always preferred basic editor, only so I can see the code. And I use Chrome, so Advanced Editor is absent. Wink

Thanks mods!

As for the article, I thought it was great. What a lovely experience. I'd turn in to a screaming fan if it was me, as well.

She got her earring hung up in Thorin's hair?

LOL! That entire story is so sweet, and she'd even made cards for much of the cast - what a great kid she is, I wish her all the best in her recovery! Heart

What a great story!

Sounds beyond amazing- I'm sure there are quite a number of us here who are just the teensiest bit envious of Samm's experiences in Wellington! She deserves every minute of it and I wish her health and happiness for the future.

What a sweet, heartwarming story!

It's nice to be reminded that something (relatively) insignificant as a book/movie about a small person with hairy feet can have a real impact in someones life.

My Sam Gamgee is indeed a reflexion of the English soldier, of the privates and batmen I knew in the 1914 war, and recognized as so far superior to myself- J.R.R. Tolkien
