DOS Sneak Peek: Thorin and company on a boat *possible spoilers*

Ever since I saw the DOS sneak peek and the particular scene where Peter is explaining how editing works, they use this scene with an annoyed Bilbo talking to the dwarves on a boat being steered by none other than Bard. Bilbo stands up, muttering about a saying that he was told "Never venture East!". Now, I've always thought that this scene would take place after Thorin and Co. arrive in Lake Town and are being taken North upon the river, towards the Lonely Mountain. However, I've recently begun reconsidering this due to a number of factors. Indeed, this scene has made be think that this could potentially take place after the Barrel sequence. First off, a number of reasons why it doesn't point to it being whilst travelling North towards the Lonely Mountain: - Bilbo is still wearing his waistcoat (not the furry green cloth we see him in, in some Vlogs - which may suggest is how he is clothed by the people of Lake Town - All the company looks miserable (both in appearance and morale) - Bilbo directs his attention towards a wounded Kili (possibly just after the barrel ride?) - Why would Bilbo state "Never venture East" when they technically would be going North? Could it be that PJ has further shifted scenes around and made the dwarves and the hobbit meet Bard BEFORE reaching Lake Town? Maybe Bilbo helps the dwarves get out of the barrels before arriving at Esgaroth (possibly in that small settlement he spends the night in, in the book?) and that is when they meet the Bowman and he 'offers' them a trip to Lake Town? Not sure whether anyone else has thought about this ... but that scene seems odd when considering certain details and timeline issues- nonethelees I'm excited to see how it plays out!
