Weta has announced many new products including the 9,900.00 USD$ Orcrist sword. Yes, you heard it right : NINE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED US DOLLARS. And pointless replicas to the exception of maybe Balin's axes. But what about the real deal? Thorin's Shield! Nearly nobody cares about the knifes of Nori. I bet you 90% of the people in these forums don't even know what they look like. United cutlery on it's part has Sting, Glamdring and Orcrist. I intend to buy all three of those. This month I bought Sting and next month I will buy Glamdring. But Once I get my Orcrist sword I want to be able to display it and use it with my authentic Oaken Shield. After all that's why they call ''Thorin son of Thrain'' ''Thorin OAKENshield''. It's an iconic piece. But maybe I'm wrong and you are willing to spend your hard earned cash on a replica of Fili's knife that nobody saw in the movie. As to the price of Orcrist, clearly some people do think it is worth that as they are buying it. If the price point is a stumbling block to you may i reccommend United Cutlery, as i see you have already mentioned yourself. Let's not forget that an actual swordsmith has made the Weta Orcrist, infact Peter Lyon, who made it for the movie himself. You're basically buying a movie prop. As for the shield, give it time.
