If anyone needs a pick-me-up...

One of those perfect pop bands that only made one album in the '60's. One of those songs that will make you feel good no matter what:

Strangely soothing

reminds me of the sort of tunes Desmond would have had in the bunker.

I remember now...

You were there. There was a computer, there was a button... We were on an island!

If the link is not clickable

copy and paste it into a new tab. If you or anyone wants to write a clickable link it is explained here (at the bottom of the page).

While creating a post, you can easily access that information again by clicking "Get Markup Help" at the top of the "Write Post" window.

Two more options.

For viewing:
On some browsers, you can click on an unclickable link by doing the following:

Highlight the link, then right click and from the menu that appears, choose to open it in either a new tab or a new window. This may vary on different OS or browsers, but it works like a dream for me.

For creating:
If you want to create a clickable link without having to remember markup code, you can do it using the Advanced Editor.
Write the text you want to use as the link, highlight it, then click on the link (chain) icon in the toolbar above the post window.
In the menu that comes up, delete the http:// that is already there and write or paste in your URL. Click submit, and voila! Your highlighted text is now a clickable link.

It's the pre-supplied "http" that causes people problems. Get rid of that, and it works great.

Highlight, right-click is a handy option. Thanks!

Yes, I use this right click a lot these days...

both for following unclickable links and for searching on Google. I just highlight an actor's name in an article, for example, right click, and 'google it'.

I have Chrome but I tried the non-clickable url trick in Firefox and I think it worked. I don't know if it does the google thing, but there might be add ons for it.

I learned something new today!

"Highlight the link, then right click and from the menu that appears, choose to open it in either a new tab or a new window. This may vary on different OS or browsers, but it works like a dream for me."

You're most welcome.

I think I discovered it one day while copying a link to paste it - and found I didn't need to. Hooray! It does make life just a little bit easier. Cool
