It's not a choice listed, but any combination of the above will also work. Let us know what you're eating! Smile

As for me my favorite breakfast is cheese blintzes with cherry topping.

And scrambled eggs for me please!

Peanut Butter....

for the win.

Natural style (separates) and no sugar.

The sugar comes from the jam - Gedney State Fair Cherry Preserves is my favorite. Seedless Blackberry or Raspberry isn't bad.

Sometimes I mix it up with a sprinkle of brown sugar (dark).

I am addicted to peanut butter. Plus, I really need some protein for breakfast and peanut butter is easy.

If I"m eating out: Eggs Benedict.

I had some great Corn Pancakes (cachapas Venezolanas) at a Colombian Cafe here. Not cormeal... pancakes with corn in them. Everyone was raving about them so I tried them and now I'm raving about them.

I know, I know ...

I don't eat breakfast. Shocked

I know it's "the most important meal of the day", but I skip breakfast. I just don't feel like eating early in the morning, and if anything, it makes me feel more sick if I do. I just wait until lunch, and then devour something. Wink

During the week ,a quick bowl of oats, usually does the trick.

On the weekends its bacon and eggs and depending on how i feel, i might have some pancakes, premixed of course. My fiance likes to have Just right with fruit, followed by a tall glass of orange juice. We bought boxes of the stuff, and i hate Just right, go figure.lolWink Laugh
It's quite funny because my fiance (from Tonga) didn't know Just right existed.Since she came to Australia she has grown to love Just right over having Pork and Taro(potato substance) in the mornings lol.

Corncakes!

Growing up in New England with Midwestern parents, our Saturday night supper was not baked beans, but calf's liver with corncakes: pancakes with kernels of corn baked in. And when the corn had been cut from fresh-cooked ears, it was the best!

And I have to ask: is there any way to see your avatar, if one does not have something that will "read" those strange bird-scratchings? Unsure

Did someone say bacon?

IMO, no breakfast is complete without bacon. Laugh

When I have the time and I am really hungry, this is my favorite breakfast: Bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns (ketchup at the ready), home made biscuits and gravy, a selection of fresh fruit and a steaming cup of coffee. I don't do pancakes or waffles, they are just too heavy/filling.

The Homestead Breakfast at Bob Evans fulfills this quite well. And no, I haven't been to Denny's for a Hobbit breakfast yet.

On a work day, coffee, a glass of milk and a scone will do (and often a banana).

A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.

well...

QR codes can do lots of different things. They can direct you to a website which might display more information about a product. It can put contact information into your contact list. Or it can display text.

If you scanned this QR code it would just display text... the word "Magpie".

Or at least it's supposed to. I don't have a smart phone to test it out! lol.

My grandparents were fond of corncakes with syrup in the morning

Or anytime of the day really. There's another pollantir question: Who likes to have breakfast foods for dinner?
We often have pancakes and eggs for dinner and especially when the weather turns cold.

I buy about a jar a week

There used to be a brand available here in Minnesota called "Real" peanut butter but it went off the market and it took me a while to find Smuckers.

Most of the 'natural' peanut butters aren't all that natural. They take out the peanut oil (presumably for other uses) and add in some other type of oil. And most add sugar. I just don't like the sugar mixed into the peanut butter. It changes the taste.

When I was little, my mother used to crumble pieces of cooked bacon into our scrambled eggs.

I don't think I like that anymore. I want to eat my bacon unadulterated.
One thing she used to make that I never have any more is milk toast. I can't even believe I'm admitting to eating that. Some people are grossed out by the thought of that.

Generally just a glass of milk

But I might throw in a bagel or a little cereal, but not always.

I just don't really like eating too much in the morning, and I definitely don't like taking too much time to cook something.

It does.

The Smuckers just has a salty, roasted peanut taste to me. The sugar does change that flavor. It makes it taste more processed.

Fruit and yogurt is my go-to these days

Or yogurt and granola or nuts. I wouldn't say no to eggs and bacon any day of the week, but I'm such a late riser that those are usually relegated to dinner foods at my house.

All that stuff sounds good to me

Sometimes I have a serious craving for the fruit and yoghurt option, and other times for the cereal (cold, hot, it's all good).

But usually if I bother to make breakfast, eggs win out. Boil em mash em stick em in a stew -- I don't care. Well actually my preference is fried over medium, 3, with toast. However this morning it's hard boiled with lots of pepper.

I rarely eat breakfast to be honest

Whether or not it is the most important meal of the day I simply can't face food that early in the morning. On the odd day I may have a crumpet, but that's usually it. That said, my life wouldn't be complete without a cup of tea in the morning (at least one!)

Occasionally I might break this general rule, e.g. I might have a fried breakfast on one day at the weekend, but on the whole I skip breakfast altogether.

Croissants?

With jam Wink Does that count as a "quick bread"?

Also there is of course the full english... of which my interpretation is bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, baked beans, tomatoes, wholemeal toast. A rare treat that Smile Absolutely delightful.

I wouldn't still be able to stand at lunchtime if I were to skip breakfast.

I make my own yogurt (it's surprisingly easy) and put it on a cut-up apple, and it tastes like dessert.

Cold cereal.

I like the nutty ones, but lately I mostly eat Cheerios (or a generic equivalent.) I wake up thirsty, and the milk tastes really good.

But I also enjoy eggs and toast occasionally, or hot oatmeal, or waffles (with peanut butter instead of syrup). I love fruit and yogurt, but I have that as part of my lunch. I've been making my own yogurt (no special equipment needed beyond a candy thermometer, which I already had) and it's really easy. I'm on generation 9 of growing the bugs (I started with store-bought yogurt 9 generations ago, and have been using my home-made yogurt as starter for subsequent batches.)

When the kids are home they like it if I serve pancakes for Sunday night suppers - usually blueberry, but I'll make some with mini chocolate chips in them also. Or waffles, if strawberries are in season, and with real whipped cream. And bacon or sausage, of course.

It is great "comfort food", isn't it!

Toast is a staple for my husband and me. Sure, I love eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, cold pizza, what have you, but 6 out of 7 mornings, I eat toast. Almost always with peanut butter, usually with bananas or raisins on top of the p.b., but sometimes jelly or honey for a change.

I have a piece of Dave's Killer Sprouted Wheat bread with peanut butter and jam every morning. Unless I go out for breakfast, in which case I get either the classic eggs'n'bacon'n'hash browns, or Eggs Benedict if they know how to make real hollandaise. None of that cheese sauce, it's made with LEMON!

And a big mug of Earl Grey.

Its been proven that it makes no difference at all :)

If that makes you feel any better, lol.

People eat in loads of different ways. Some people eat in a schedule called intermittent fasting where they eat in a short time frame e.g. a 4 hour window where they can eat all the calories that others would spread out over 3,4,5,6 etc meals.

The idea that eating every few hours boosts metabolism has been proven to be rubbish though it has only been shown to be rubbish recently so in the general media they dont say that... yet

Its similar to using BMI as a measure for if someone is overweight or not. Totally useless system for most males and some women - better system would be bodyfat measurements.

Myself if i do have breakfast i like a Full English consisting of two fried eggs, two Cumbrian sausages, two English style rashers of bacon, two black pudding slices, some baked beans, fried tomato, fried mushrooms and sometimes toast :)

Most the time i dont eat til around 12pm (noon) and have done when slim and fat - makes no difference unless one is a binge eater or have a medical condition like diabetes.
