As the year went on, it got harder and harder because working in the schools (especially inner city ones with dysfunctional administrations) is hard! So I just got wearier, physically and mentally. In April, DST would hit and I'd have to get up even earlier. It usually knocked me out to get up that early and I never recovered till the school year was over. You aren't supposed to set those clocks back you are supposed to wind ahead until you get to the right time. Then the strike isn't right, and it doesn't auto correct. What I usually do is leave mine at Standard Time (or God's time, as it's referred to in the Mapp and Lucia books by E.F.Benson) so that more than half the year it's an hour off. The children I work with are very sensitive to the change and can be pretty unbearable for the first week or two after the clocks change. I'm not a big fan myself, but one must go with the masses. Unless I just keep my clocks where I want them and move to the rhythm of my own time...which could be problematic.
