It was Dunedin that reminded us of Scotland

Driving from Port Chalmers into Dunedin, we said to each other, we could be driving along the Moray Firth outside Inverness---at least until we took a closer look at the vegetation! The original settlers caught the resemblance, too, since the Scottish names are fairly thick there. With the cool, drizzly day, we were feeling thoroughly dislocated
* * * * * * * Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight? A man may do both. For not we but those who come after will make the legends of our time. The green earth, say you? That is a mighty matter of legend, though you tread it under the light of day!
