Am I the only one who thinks Peter Jackson has something up his sleeve? Such as nodding, wide-eyed, to WB suit and agreeing, "Yes, yes, yes" to the Summer Tentpole release, but having scored his victory in getting his 3 months+ of additional shooting, will find a way to, er, extend that post-production period via delays, so that the studio will have no choice but to move the last film's release to Dec? Having gotten your goal, only a fool would argue at that stage.... And having the filming take place AFTER the first film's release when its made a bazillion $ and (maybe?) gotten some Oscar nods, even in the technicals (which HP never got in 10 yrs...) thus sending WB the message that this deserves to be treated as more than a HP-style franchise (so far my nightmares ae coming true, and all indications are that for WB to them this not Tolkien but nothing more than the latest Franchise MUCH different than New Line's respectful treatment of LOTR)....well, by that point a mollified WB will be much less upset at Peter when he drops this bombshell on them. THEN they'll open their eyes and see that a Dec release for TABA (LOVE these acronyms!) relally is the best choice. And if they argue, he could just remind them, "well, Titanic was supposed to come out in July too." Let's hope this pans out this way. At this point, this whole saga has had so many twists and turns, I do believe this scenario is remotely possible. It all depends on the critical reception Dec 14th or just before. Gadzooks, the nerves....only 3 1/2 more months until we find out The Verdict. Initial verdict means a lot. At this stage, some in the industry are taking a much less sympathetic view of Peter b/c of the 48fps thing and expanding to trilogy....there's a lot of skepticm and GL's name has been thrown around. Everything could either move forward like LOTR...or not.
