There is also Nicolas, Lestat's lover, who was depressed and somewhat catatonic whilst a vampire. Gabrielle, Lestat's adventurous mother. The doomed Claudia, or the slightly twisted Armand- it's up to you. My personal favorite is Lestat. He rocks. I do like Nicki a lot as well; though I liked him more when he was human. ShyElf Lorien May 9 2010, 5:01pm Views: 152 Gotta be Lestat... But I always loved Louis as well..., so I did have to think about it. I read the books about 20 years ago (or so it seems). Recently, I gave them to my daughter to read and she and her friends read them and enjoyed them as well. Originally, when the movie came out, I really didn't like Tom Cruise's Lestat - it wasn't my vision of him, so it didn't work for me. (I liked Brad Pitt's Louis though - the very first time I'd ever seen Brad Pitt in a movie). However, after the kids read the books, we checked out the movie again, and I found that I didn't dislikeTom Cruise's Lestat as much as I originally did. I've mellowed out with age... Cheers!
