Favorite Anne Rice vampire?

The charismatic, rock star Lestat?
The thoughtful, solitary Louis?
Or maybe the Queen of the Damned, Akasha?
There is also Nicolas, Lestat's lover, who was depressed and somewhat catatonic whilst a vampire. Gabrielle, Lestat's adventurous mother. The doomed Claudia, or the slightly twisted Armand- it's up to you.

My personal favorite is Lestat. He rocks.
I do like Nicki a lot as well; though I liked him more when he was human.

Who is your favorite Anne Rice vampire?

I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not.

Can't vote...

Never read an Anne Rice novel, so no idea who any of those vampires are........assuming 'other' is other Anne Rice vampires and doesn't include Keifer from Lost Boys?

What's the matter, James? No glib remark? No pithy comeback?"

;) I did mean other Anne Rice vampires but

I could make a post simply for favorite vampires, period? Smile

I do recommend her books, though, they're my favorite.

Lestat

The charismatic rock star Lestat The Vampire!!!!!
And I really liked Tom Cruise´s portrayal, by the way.
So Tom Cruise´s Lestat is my Lestat so far.

Besides Lestat, I love Marius, he´s my second favorite vampire

Lots.

Quite a few people reviewed the book in the weekly reading threads - search on the whole phrase of 'the strain' and you'll find a few posts.

Here is TORN's review of it, FWIW.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Gotta be Lestat...

But I always loved Louis as well..., so I did have to think about it.

I read the books about 20 years ago (or so it seems). Recently, I gave them to my daughter to read and she and her friends read them and enjoyed them as well. Originally, when the movie came out, I really didn't like Tom Cruise's Lestat - it wasn't my vision of him, so it didn't work for me. (I liked Brad Pitt's Louis though - the very first time I'd ever seen Brad Pitt in a movie). However, after the kids read the books, we checked out the movie again, and I found that I didn't dislikeTom Cruise's Lestat as much as I originally did. I've mellowed out with age...

Cheers!
