I just noticed I am now a member of the Ministry of Magic.

At least, that's what it says under my user name. Another April Fools Day joke? Blush

What's the matter, James? No glib remark? No pithy comeback?"

I am in Dumbledore's Army which I love but...

I was in last year too.

I was secretly hoping we'd all be in Pandora this year and I'd get to be a Na'vi.

Haha! Truly funny, and I would never have noticed it...

if you hadn't linked to it.

I do use google, a lot, but I just asked it here since there are, I know, many Potter fans here, I'd hate to think I couldn't ask a question so basic.Sly

I would have answered the question.

I just had to point you to the google prank in the spirit of the day. :-P

Haha I noticed that

I have a gmail account, and had to look an embarrassing extra minute before I realized what was up.

"It's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry...you will someday." -American Beauty

Aaaaaaaaaah I see...

It's correct when under people's names, but on the FAQs it's not got an 'e'... never checked the actual forum though Crazy

It is today

2.39 I noticed that different users have different titles under their usernames ... what do they mean? The titles listed under members’ usernames are automatically assigned by the system and are based on the total number of posts that a user has created on the message boards. They represent the associations of various members of the Harry Potter tomes (only fitting considering how many of his concepts Tolkien borrowed from J.K. Rowlling):
Up to 9 posts: Muggle
10 to 99 posts: House Elf
100 to 399 posts: Slytherin
400 to 799 posts: Hufflepuff
800 to 1199 posts: Ravenclaw
1200 to 1999 posts: Gryffindor
2000 to 3499 posts: Ministry of Magic
3500 to 4999 posts: Dumbledor's Army
Over 5000 posts: Order of the Phoenix

ah.. thanks.

I'm laughing because I went there wondering where Dumbledore would be included in the FAQ and - since it's such a long page - did a page search for 'Dumbledore'.

DOH! the_argonath said it was misspelled so why I thought that would work is beyond me.

That does make for an interesting thing though...

If someone were to post their "changeover" numbered post today and have it bump them to the next in line. I checked my own and I'm hopelessly in Slytherin for today (239 posts before this one) but it also appears I'm averaging a scary (to my mind) 12+ posts per day!

BG mostly

He knows the HP series much better than I do. But, I needed a few extra tiers, so I added Muggle and House Elf. I thought that would be amusing with all the new members we've gotten recently. Sly
