Wooohooooo!

Welcome, welcome, welcome everyone to the new TORn boards! Laugh

The champagne fountain is located in the far corner and the chocolate fountain is in the other corner over there.

Help yourself to whatever you please from behind the bar. The bartender is a little busy at the moment. Wink

Hurrah! Here I am!

It took me a minute to figure out that once I signed up and was verified, I had to log in again before I could post. That was a little confusing.

I love what you've done with the place.

MUSIC!

Hello all. I'm busily uploading some ROTK music our Inaugural Celebration.

All the links are on this web page. Feel free to share the links with other TORNsibs... since I may be busy trying to get these up.

We have 100 downloads available to us - or 7 days... which ever come first.

Seems early for anything harder... *cracks open a ginger beer*

Woo-hoo! I'm having a quick glass of champagne and then I need to get to my errands. Must buy moving boxes and start to pack for my other Big Move.

Big hugs to the Altairas, Inferno and TPTB for our shiny new forums. Praise them with great praise!

Each cloak was fastened about the neck with a brooch like a green leaf veined with silver.

`Are these magic cloaks? ' asked Pippin, looking at them with wonder.

Wow, fiesta two days in a row!

Yesterday I had hot chocolate, but I think this calls for champagne! I'm still feeling my way about, but I'm glad to see that I can use the threaded mode to make this look comfy and familiar. It's so great to see so many familiar nicks here, and to see some changes I know people have been wanting to make for a long time (like losing numbers after their names, and indefinite articles before their names, and so on.)

I love the feature that lets us see how many views a post has had! People don't always reply, so it's great to see that a post is being read.

Well, I should go head up north twenty miles and give my mom her Saturday bath. Sing hey! for a bath on a Saturday!

Answer unclear: ask again later

The latest guesstimate is late April/early May. The developer will have a better estimate in March when they start framing. Right now some of the finished units have begun to close and the pacing depends on how many 30-day punch-list items surface on the finished units that cause the workers to be pulled off the unfinished units.

My dilemma is that I've got a lease that expires on April 30, and an initial enquiry whether I can stay an extra month was met with some resistance. Chicago has a traditional May 1/October 1 leasing cycle, and staying an extra month will throw that off. But I think I'll be OK in the end. The landlord needs to make some repairs on my apartment and it needs to be painted, so they won't be able to rent it right away. I've made it clear that if I have to move out before my condo is done I won't be leaving before April 30,so they won't have enough time for someone to move in on May 1. I've tempted them with a full month's rent in May and ample time to make the updates they need, so I'm cautiously optimistic I'll be able to stay and close in early May.

Each cloak was fastened about the neck with a brooch like a green leaf veined with silver.
`Are these magic cloaks?' asked Pippin, looking at them with wonder.

Then, don't click on "user profile", but rather the thing below it, I think it's called something "settings". Go to the very bottom. If you're on Eastern Time put -5. If you're Central Time, put -6, Mountain -7, Pacific -8. If you're not in the US you'll have to check the FAQ 'cause I couldn't tell you.

Anyone still here? No? *dives into chocolate fountain*

Mmmm, chocolate. Laugh

Was on here last night and somehow missed this fiesta thread . . . still feeling somewhat discombobulated. Or as a friend of mine once said, discongoblinated.

I love seeing everyone's new avatars and footers, but as someone mentioned in another thread (which I'm too discongoblinated to go back and find), I think it would be a shame if anyone felt pressured to create fancy avatars and footers. What I love about TORn is the thoughtful and friendly posts, not people showing off their Photoshop or HTML skills.

It's weird how even the board-features that are exactly the same are somehow confusing to me here. Crazy

Oh, great. Someone dumped some Girllum in the chocolate fountain.

This is what happens when celebrations get out of hand.

I was thinking about visiting the punch bowl, but now I don't know.

I admit to be slightly intimidated by the new style

but I expect I'll catch on eventually. Change gets harder as you get older. So I'll destroy a few more brain cells by joining in the champagne! But since it's still a.m. here, add a little OJ for a mimosa.

Hi everyone!

There are some things that it is better to begin than to refuse, even though the end may be dark.

I need a drink

But as the sun is barely over the yardarm, I'll stick to espresso.

Welcome one and all to the new boards! They still make my head spin, but I'm sure I'll get used to them.

Didn't get a chance to really explore before, so I didn't see it.

How are you doing? I haven't seen you in a while. But then, I haven't been at TORN in a while either...

I hope everything is well. Are you having a nice summer?

Hello, old friend :-)

Lovely to see you.

Things are going okay, though quite busily. Summer looks like it might finish early, which I'm very pleased about.

Hope to see you more often!

Nice avatar and Hello from former lurker!

Nice avatar!!
Mae govanen!!
I was lurking and came in late to the party. LOL
I've been an first Ager when it comes to TORn, reading news and spy reports, before the 1st movie came out, and I visited the forum now and then. But like another newbie said, the layout confused me. Now I finally joined and as an official member I guess I'm a fourth ager. LOL
Excelent job :)
