     That laugh [In reply to]

Lee has the most wonderful deep voice, and I love to hear him laugh. Luke Evans is also easy on the eyes and ears. Welsh accents are sexy, and I am glad he was able to use his in the Hobbit.

10 reasons why ... [In reply to]

Anyone else notice his tan line in picture number 8? EvilBlushWink

Also, author may need to revise number 5 about not being a model! However it seems Weta were the only folks who found that out - it's not on his Wiki bio etc. Maybe they said, during those promo shoots "wow, are you sure you've never been a model?" and he said "Well actually...."

Tiffany ad campaign EVER in its entire history. Lee has such class and looks very good in a tux. However he seems to prefer his casual clothes, relaxing and being endearingly dorky at times.

And now there are FIVE! [In reply to]

Five, count 'em, FIVE threads on the front page of the Hobbit forum, all about Thranduil! (If you read the Necklace of Lasgalen thread, it's pretty clear the OP meant to say Thranduil's queen, not Elrond's.) As far as I can tell, none of the other four threads were started by Thralls.

     Chamber music [In reply to]

I can picture Thranduil at the piano, of course. I thought of Thorin on the double bass and perhaps Elrond would play the cello. But those two would forever argue with Thranduil over the selection of the music and the arrangement. So it would only be a matter of time before the elvenking exercised his authority and kicked them out.

Feren for the viola and Lindir with a violin might work.

So who would the thralls pick to play the cello and double bass?

The cool wizard must be in the band. Cool But imagine Thranduil doing a mean guitar solo, whipping and flipping his hair and all. Laugh

Although this wouldn't quite be 'chamber music' anymore. Tongue

     Greenwood Quintet [In reply to]

Thranduil at the piano works for me -- those long arms in total command of the keyboard, hair and broad shoulders swaying to the music. HeartHeart But I can also see him on the violin -- which is always first among equals in any string/chamber ensemble -- with those long fingers flying up and down the fingerboard.

@On_the_partyelk:

whipping and flipping his hair and all.

He could also do that on either the piano or the violin, don't you think? Laugh

So bringing in Legolas (on violin if Thranduil is on piano, cello if Thandy is on the violin), and Gandalf (excellent suggestion, On_the_partyelk, but substituting double bass for drums), and with Feren and Lindir taking up the two remaining instruments, I think we have our Greenwood Quintet!

     Good call [In reply to]

Thranduil would wear his guitar slung low like Jimmy Page whilst wearing the dragon suit.

He would play with the passion and virtuosity of Eric Clapton, begging, darlin' please, on the song, Layla

Thrandy could also flip his hair playing the harpe or triangle. I imagine him going wild on the violine like David Garrett, just with his hair open. Cool
