The Fellowship: Free-For-All Brawl Can't Post

Everyone in the Fellowship gets their standard equipment. Gandalf however cannot use magic. Fight takes place on Amon Hen in the middle of the day. Who wins?

EDIT: I probably should have put this in "The Arena," can a mod move it if they feel like it should be moved please?

Gandalf! [In reply to] Can't Post

Thousands of years of fighting experience on his side and a Gondolin-forged blade. And, being THE chessmaster supreme, he'd know exactly who to fight directly, and when.

And what is “magic”? [In reply to] Can't Post

Gandalf’s wand of course. But could he not use Glamdring (Beater). Did it not have special qualities as it was able to easily hack the chains of the Dwarves in the Goblin’s cave. Magic?

Legolas’ bow and arrows were made by the Elves of Lothlorien. Special qualities? Magic?

Anduril (Narsil) was made by Telchar – special qualities? I think yes. Magic?

Sting had special ‘magical’ qualities – it was able to hack through Shelob’s webs when Sam’s blade couldn’t. Also Frodo wears the Mithril Coat? Magic?

Gimli – No magic here, although he was deft with the axe – hacking off the heads of two orcs with one fell-swoop. No magic.

Take away ALL ‘special qualities’ and Gimli has a chance.. eh?
All in all a sad confrontation and, as Na Vedui says - Sauron wins!
