Frown Why can't this be in??? It'd give characterisation to Thranduil and better insight on Legolas too - at least he's not as reckless as Tauriel

if it's cos Leggy failed to return after the 2 days are up, and Thranduil decides to go fetch him back that the Mirkwood army sallied forth. Though with his tough-commander stance ("You have 2 days"), I wonder if Thranduil would allow himself to show his concerned parent side?

Poor job PJ. this scene should be in the EE. Now we don't even have any scene of the suppost ti be 'father-son' relationship for Thranduil-Legolas. I really need to hear Legolas said 'ada' & 'Thranduil 'ion-nin'......FrownFrownFrown

on Thranduil's face as he watches Legolas leaving. He seemed dispassionate enough when giving his son the ultimatum.

You are right, this so needed to be in... I am really getting disappointed about the non-delivery of the father-and-son theme that the actors have spoken so much about. That is one of the great themes that should be in full-on display and threading through this trilogy.Frown

     Woodland Ring [In reply to]

Quote
And was that a new ring we've not seen before on his left hand? Or is that just the Woodland Ring at an unfamiliar angle?

It's out of focus but I'm pretty sure it's the Woodland Ring. Looks like whomever that is in the background is holding up his brooch too. This must have been a bling photo op or something.Smile

Y'know, ever since we started talking about Thrandy's rings, I seem to have a growing fascination with rings in general. I rarely wear them myself, but when I see other people, especially men wearing them, and it's not just a wedding ring, I find myself wondering why they're wearing them, where they came from and if they have any special meaning to the wearer. Even with the LOTR and Hobbit movies, I've started being more aware of any rings the characters are wearing and wondering what the significance is. I've even started thinking about how some of the characters in the fantasy story I'm writing might wear rings and what they might mean. I think I'm obsessed.CrazyTongue
