what hellboy's 2 trailer does not inspire me [In reply to] Can't Post

You can see the trailer here and the bad guys look like the wraiths from stargate. Now I am more worried about the movie visually. I don't think we should just sit back trust PJ after The Return of The King just because these movies will be his babies. King Kong was his baby and that was a stinker.

Two sides to every coin [In reply to] Can't Post

While I think that Kong could have been shorter, it was hardly a "stinker". The Bratz movie, now THAT is a stinker... Wink

And the Hellboy 2 trailer is awesome. I can hardly wait to see this movie.

What's the option next to "sit back and trust"? Sit forward and worry? That's not for me. Anyone can screw up anything, like Lucas and the prequels (or for anyone who enjoyed the prequels feel free to insert your own example), but I'm not going to fret over it. Sure the possibility exists that things can get screwed up, but PJ and GDT have earned my benefit of the doubt.

Kong was good, but just too long.

2nd viewings [In reply to] Can't Post

I actually had to give Kong a second chance, 'cause the first time I watched it I was super-tired and grumpy. I enjoyed it a lot more the 2nd time.

Film New Trilogy! [In reply to] Can't Post

Smile Well put. Not only is Del Toro one of the best possible choices for the Hobbit, he should not stop there. Keep filming the new version of the trilogy right after he's done with the Hobbit movies and we will have a complete set of 5 Del Toro-fied amazing films. Come to think of it, he should also do The Silmarillion, The Children of Hurin, and the Book of lost tales!

The Trees will have their revenge!

Oh, I enjoyed it [In reply to] Can't Post

I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. But then it just got too long. Same with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. No, actually, I didn't enjoy those very much, but I might have if they were quite a bit shorter. For me, if a movie lasts much more than two hours, it had better have a darned good story to tell!

Where's Frodo?
