Horse or pony. - "Give him a pony."

Warg. - "Send out your warg-riders!"
Great eagle. - "The eagles! The eagles are coming!"
Fell beast. - "Wraiths! Wraiths on wings!"
Irish Elk. 'Nuff said.
In a wagon or cart, thank you very much.

That is fantastic. [In reply to] Can't Post

Reminds me a little of that show American Pickers. I've only seen it in passing on someone else's TV, but they seem to have a lot of fun.

I like the idea of a TORn tour bus. Sort of a traveling museum. Er...mathom.

Though it might get one or two funny looks passing through a town! ShockedTongueAngelic

Like Brethil, you almost had me at "give him a pony", but I haven't been on a horse since I was 12, so I'm going to have to go with Darkstone's van. Raggy!

We should get those kids to solve some mysteries for us [In reply to] Can't Post

as they cruise around ME in their van. Did Shelob die from Sams' wounds? Did Wormtongue eat Lotho? Those hippies have some work to do when they're not breaking up Helm's Deep with a love-in.

I shall have to be careful in public places now Darkstone! [In reply to] Can't Post

as the picture of them all riding in the Van strikes me silly, and I have to quickly look at my phone and pretend someone sent me an amusing text Laugh

"Shaggy" could definitely be a Hobbit nickname.

(Glad you enjoyed it Cool)

You need to ride ahead Eomer...

Fine. We'll take the van. I'll get the keys.

Take the dog with you.

If I have to hear "Rorth Rorlingas" again I'm going to lose my mind.

Horse or pony for me... [In reply to] Can't Post

even though I prefer to walk. But if Thorin were to give me that "give h(er) a pony" line (or anything else for that matter), I would have to oblige (I'm terrible at any kind of temptation, especially when someone I happy to fancy is involved), though he may have to teach me how to ride one first, since I've never been on a horse or pony in my life. Hopefully, I'm not allergic to horse hair like Bilbo, or else it might not be a very pleasant experience.Smile

There ya go! [In reply to] Can't Post

I was wondering why air-conditioned motor vehicle wasn't one of the choices.

I'm getting old. I like my creature comforts. Just cause Gandalf was willing to go by foot and pony doesn't mean all senior citizens want to do it!

After deep thought and reality-testing each possibility [In reply to] Can't Post

I have to say that I was, at first, considering Eagle-bobbing; but I'd feel too much like imitating Bastian riding atop Falkor.

Then I really thought it would be fun to be on a sled pulled by Rabbits... but then I thought the view "behind" a dozen rabbits bouncing "end"lessly in front of me would get pretty old after a while.

So a horse. I'd love to have a friendship with a horse and travel together at whatever pace I'd like, walking or speeding long. A Horsie, please :D

GREAT QUESTION! Now I want to do it!
