1. Middle Earth car name. I don't name my cars, but I always thought there should be a Ford of Isen or Ford of Bruinen. 2. Unwinding. I veg on the couch. If Duck Dynasty is on, even better. 3. Why my TORn nick. It is my real name in Elvish. I got it from this website that somebody linked to on Old TORn shortly after I joined. It seemed better than a random name generator and it's really "me". 4. Ice cream serving way. Can't beat being served by a certain majestic dwarf king, unless I get to lick it off his chest. 5. Sing in the shower? Not usually. Although, I was trying to learn "Waltzing Matilda" to teach to my cub scout den last week and did hum a few stanzas in the shower. But I'm definitely not a singer.
I am SMAUG! I kill when I wish! I am strong, strong, STRONG! My armor is like tenfold shields! My teeth like swords! My claws, spears! The shock of my tail, a thunderbolt! My wings, a hurricane! And my breath, death!

1. What Middle-earth name would you give to your car? (Our suggestions were Mordor Mazda and Hobbiton Honda, after I saw a car on Saturday called Samwise, it was a Subaru ) Maia Malibu! 2. What's your favourite way of unwinding after a stressful day? Nice weather--sit outside under the big oak and do...nothing. Otherwise--umm, I am usually surfing the net. 3. Why did you choose the nick you use on TORn? Oy! My TORn nick was my 2nd nick, ever. I think I looked around the room and picked out the fabric that serves as skirt/dress/wrap--thinking *surely* I will remember that! 4. This on is gramma inspired, what's your favourite way of serving ice-cream? LOL. Not too creative here. I almost always scoop some into a cup and add enough milk so that I can make a shake of it. 5. Do you sing in the shower? And if you do, what sort of songs? (Singing along to music whilst having a bath counts too ) Nope.

1. What Middle-earth name would you give to your car? (Our suggestions were Mordor Mazda and Hobbiton Honda, after I saw a car on Saturday called Samwise, it was a Subaru ) My car is 19 years old so maybe...Treebeard, because it's the Eldest? 2. What's your favourite way of unwinding after a stressful day? I get on Lord of the Rings Online and slaughter a few orcs. 3. Why did you choose the nick you use on TORn? I wanted something female and familiar to Tolkien people, but not obvious (so no Arwen or Galadriel). 4. This on is gramma inspired, what's your favourite way of serving ice-cream? Ice cream hurts my teeth, so I don't eat it much. But I do like an Oreo Blizzard once in a while. 5. Do you sing in the shower? And if you do, what sort of songs? (Singing along to music whilst having a bath counts too ) I'm not a shower singer. I'm usually too tired and cranky in the morning for anything as energetic as singing. I sing along to the radio in the car sometimes, though. Generally that's pop or Christian songs.

1. What Middle-earth name would you give to your car? (Our suggestions were Mordor Mazda and Hobbiton Honda, after I saw a car on Saturday called Samwise, it was a Subaru ) I have a black Ford Escape with a license plate "hobbity". Which means, I Escape in my Ford named hobbity ;) 2. What's your favourite way of unwinding after a stressful day? My dinner on a plate, sitting in front of the tv and watching something I love. Or playing here in my TORn sandbox! 3. Why did you choose the nick you use on TORn? I was nervous about joining an online website, so I stuck with something I felt safe with. When my g'son (now 18) was learning to talk, he identified each of his grandparents by the pets they had. My dog's name was Squid, but g'son had trouble saying that... so he called Squid "boo-boo dog". Hence, I was then dubbed grandma boo-boo dog... which morphed into gramma boodog(which I'm still called). I tweeked it into my ultimate identity ;) 4. This on is gramma inspired, what's your favourite way of serving ice-cream? WITH A SPOON IN EACH HAND SHOVELING IT INTO MY MOUTH AS FAST AS I CAN! Actually, I love waffle cones. :D 5. Do you sing in the shower? And if you do, what sort of songs? (Singing along to music whilst having a bath counts too ) I used to, but it makes my dog cry and the cats run away... *sigh* Thanks Kel! That was fun!! :D

1. What Middle-earth name would you give to your car? I don't name my cars really, but I guess I would use - Gimli??? It's a durable car I've found... 2. What's your favourite way of unwinding after a stressful day? A beer or two and watching the Leafs game. 3. Why did you choose the nick you use on TORn? I had been using it as my 'net' alias for years, so I continued! 4. This on is gramma inspired, what's your favourite way of serving ice-cream? Bowl it up... 5. Do you sing in the shower? And if you do, what sort of songs? When I am alone, yes. That way no one hears my awful voice. Tone deaf ya know. I sing Triumph so I can try and hit those Rik Emmett high notes...and RUSH....basically the music I listen too...

Yeah, okay, that's what I *meant* to say. ROFL! My new favourite way of eating ice cream! Someday someone's going to give me one of those spontaneous-association tests. They're going to say "Ice cream?" and I'm going to answer "Dwarf chests!" and burst out laughing. Not only will they have no idea why, but that will seal my one-way trip to the loony bin.

On my mother's side i called grandmother 'mimi' and grandfather 'bobo'. I was a bit slow on the language front... but i excelled on toilet training. It was documented here in picture form, somewhere....It was all kel's fault too!
''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." — J.R.R. Tolkien

I guess it's best I didn't see that one while we were picking names for our elleths. I just recently came across the name Elwin at work. Apparently it had a popularity spike in the early 20th century then dropped off. I like it.
Before kids, exercising with LOTR meant listening to the soundtrack while I ran. After kids, exercising with LOTR means having an all out dance party with the little ones to the "Break the Dam Release the River" disco mix form the Lego game.

1. Well, I don't have a car, and even though I have a driving licence, I don't like to drive. But if I had one I'd like it to be a Pippin Peugeot. 2. Watching a movie, reading, or just doing nothing. 3. Because I am very fond of animals and horses in particular. Besides, I like Barliman Butterbur and think it's a wonderfully cosy name for an inn. 4. In a cone. I like how the ice-cream slowly melts and sinks further and further down. 5. No. Every time I do, I scare myself. I prefer to hum or sing in my head only.

1. I'd name my ride Smaug because one needs a hord of gold to pay for gas nowadays and I ... Well, I Am Broke as a Joke 2. The first thing I do when I get home after a stressful day is turn on the tv, raid the fridge and make myself some dinner and watch my favorite shows that had been recorded that day. 3. It wasn't really a choice, it was given to me by some younger friends who are cosplayers and really into everything Japanese related, I believe it means "big/older-sister" but it does sound like someone from Middle-Earth, doesn't it? 4. Well, I used to work in a Hard Rock Café kitchen, so I kind of know my way around ginourmous ice creams, but lately I've been on a waffle/pancake/crepe with banana and caramel ice-cream kick, doesn't really matter how it's served as long as I get it in my system somehow. OM NOM NOM NOM NOM 5. Do do sing in the shower sometimes, but the songs usually depend on how I feel when I wake up, and what I've got stuck in my head. Lately it's been "Edge of Night" from LOTR, "the Clown" by Beecake, stuff from TH AUJ (including some scenes I've memorized cause they're funny) some TH parody songs and some other silly soundtracks like the music from "Freakazoid" or "Pinky and the Brain" and sometimes... that one song from Sir-Mix-a-Lot to boost up my ego

1. What Middle-earth name would you give to your car? Probably Bill, but I'm being hopeful. I need my 156,000 miles car to be dependable and find its way home. 2. What's your favourite way of unwinding after a stressful day? It used to be attempting to devour a bag of potato chips. Now I vege out in front of the TV (watching rerereruns of Big Bang Theory) and doing Sudoku puzzles. And then ranting to whomever will listen about what people did wrong at work. 3. I really didn't feel comfortable trying to come up with an Elvish name. So I just chose the name of our first dog. We had thought of naming her Galadriel originally (we got her a year after we had read LOTR), but just went with the simple Ginger (can you guess what color she was?) 4. In a cone, and as the cone gets smaller, I bite off the tip and suck ice cream out of there. And it's always some variation of chocolate ice cream. 5. Do you sing in the shower? No. No, no, no. I can't do that to the neighbors. Or my dog.

1. What Middle-earth name would you give to your car? My car has always been known as Odo, so it has a respectable hobbity name. 2. What's your favourite way of unwinding after a stressful day? Watching a movie at home, or else playing Lord of the Rings Online and letting my hobbit minstrel scream at things. 3. Why did you choose the nick you use on TORn? My first character in Lord of the Rings Online was a hobbit female, and I love her to bits. 4. This on is gramma inspired, what's your favourite way of serving ice-cream? Unadorned, in a small china bowl. 5. Do you sing in the shower? Sadly, I do not. The neighbors would not be kind about it. I used to sing in the car but its CD player stopped working about a year ago. Now I leave the car radio tuned to the NPR classical station. If anything comes on that was in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, I sing along with that.
