I wrote a poem about that about a year ago, actually. [In reply to] Can't Post

It was about a year ago that Jupiter and the Moon were last dancing around each other in the sky and it inspired me to write the following little poem:

nightfire

disc of fire,
burning bright,
in a hazy sky this night,
encircled by a wispy halo
of the palest blue,

you may be
but a satellite,
formed of rock and reflected light,
but you have captured the king of the gods
and made him yours tonight.

I must say I've been noticing them doing their dance again this year.
