Was good. Nice long weekend. You?

Maybe. The Bilbo figure is still around and seems to be reasonable in price So I think people should be able to get it without little problem.

Accessories! [In reply to] Can't Post

Mine was good, thanks. My sister and her boyfriend visited me from Alaska. Hanging with them was AWESOME! We also celebrated one of my best friend's birthdays karaoke style. That was fun! I watched Man With the Iron Fists. It was pretty graphic and definitely not for kids. The acting was subpar, but the fighting was pretty solid. I also watched Frankenweenie. There are so many references to old horror movies and actors in there. I really enjoyed it!

For sure! I got mine online from TRU months ago and it ran me around $33 which included shipping. Being as they are in limited quantity, I predict that the value will increase over time. Though Bilbo is the main character, the Azog figure is pretty cool. I can't wait to see what accessories come with all of the dwarves in Wave 2! I know we can see some from the photos available, but there tend to be items that people miss now and then.

1 is the loneliest number [In reply to] Can't Post

Good! Those both sound like good times. Are you from Alaska or did your sister move there? I remember thinking that would be very graphic and probably a rental at best. Frankenweenie I might see someday but I've lost 3 pets in the last year and so I've not seen it yet for that reason.

I agree. I do think overtime there will be a small increase at least in its value. Mine is still in the box. I've thought about buying another one to open but as of now I'm just leaving everything in the box so he'd be all alone if I did and opened it.

I am curious to see what the include but I imagine it will be much like wave one with just the basic stuff that the character had in the movie. I think the Azog figure looks sweet and I hope he also is the Comic-Con figure that way you can get both versions of the character if you choose to do so. I'm also hoping Weta will announce a statue for him at Comic-Con this year.

Nori Knives [In reply to] Can't Post

My sister moved to Alaska to be with her boyfriend. He's in the Coast Guard. However, my parents, my sister, and her boyfriend will all be living in Florida at some point this there. Dude, I'm really sorry to hear about your pets. That's rough, but I'm sure you gave them great lives and they are all in a better place now.

Lonely is not good. lol I have several LOTR figures and box sets opened and unopened that I plan on passing those on to my hypothetical children someday along with all of The Hobbit figures I collect. The same goes for my SW figues and so on. Speaking of which, did you see or hear anything about new 3.75" CW figures for 2013? I saw pics of the 6" line, which I liked. Though, there were only a few figures announced.

I'm cool with the basics for Wave 2. I have high hopes for futures waves! I'd like to see 3.75" Nori with his knives. Weta made some pretty neat real ones. lol Having both versions of Azog would be GREAT! No doubt, he will have a marvelous statue if and when that it released.

Da future [In reply to] Can't Post

Got ya. That's a good reason to move to Alaska but I'd take Florida over the cold of the North. Thanks. Yeah, It was rough but they're better off then when they left so it makes it easier. We tried to that's for sure.

No not good at all. Lol yeah, someday any kids are going to freak when they see all my stuff. Tongue I did not. I saw the 6" figures which looked cool but nothing else from SW.

I think future waves will expand in all area. Especially if each wave continues to grow in success. Yes, the Weta ones are freaking cool. I could see TBd doing some weapons like they did with Sting. Plus doing one as a sdcc ex (especially the one with two arms) would make sense. It allows people to skip something they don't want. He will make a fantastic statue,

We're off school now and may be tomorrow. We will be getting 8-15" of snow.

The Batman [In reply to] Can't Post

Happy Friday, Elessar! Agreed. I've always wanted to visit Alaska, but I would take warmer weather over the cold to call home.

I hear that! lol The SW figures look great, but I feel like the CW series could bring so many figures to life. Season 4 was AMAZING! I'm not sure if Hasbro is slacking or if they are waiting to reveal these figures at the proper time.

That would be ideal. From what I see, there is not enough merchandise available right now to cover the extent of The Hobbit. We need more figures and beasts in both lines. How about a playset or 2? The statues are slowing coming along, and they look great, but this is an epic film. There is so much left to do!

Enjoy the snow days and the weekend! I started watching a series called, "The Batman." I bought the whole set, It's AWESOME!

Snow days [In reply to] Can't Post

Happy Friday! Yes, warm > cold. :)

I would expect with Hasbro and the popularity of the show I'd say many more figure are to come. Probably just waiting for Toy Fair for some figures from SW and Comic-Con for others.

I agree. I'd love to see more but times flies I can assure you. It did with The Lord of the Rings. I think Wave 2 will have more especially once we get to comic-con. I don't think they showed everything at toy fair. They are I'm used to the pace after so many years. Lol that there is. :)

Will do. We were off Thursday and Friday after getting 10+ inches of snow. Nice! It's not one I'm familiar with.

Wave 2 - Wave 3 [In reply to] Can't Post

Hey, man! How was your weekend?

I hope you're right! It's really slow goings with the CW figures right now. I haven't seen any good ones in quite a while.

By the time Comic-Con comes around, do you think TBD will be on Wave 3? I thought Wave 2 was due to be released in the summer. Even that seems far.

Dude, The Batman is a GREAT series! It's got that old school feel of the Batman series from the 1990s, but the modern touch of the Batman Beyond series.

Not bad. Didn't do much because of the Snow. Did get out a little but for the most part just stayed in and watch movies.

If we don't see anything from Hasbro at comic-con then I'd be worried. I think there will be plenty.

I believe you might see some of Wave 3 if 2 has already landed in the early part of the summer.

Nice! Sounds like it might be pretty coool.

Be safe man. We're supposed to get another 15-20" of snow here in the Kansas City area.

I sure hope you're right! I mean, there is nothing catching my interest for a pre order at the moment. Speaking of which, I thought The Hobbit was supposed to be available for pre order on DVD today, but I checked Amazon and it was not the case.

That would be cool!

Yea, the storyline is interesting as always. Yet, there are minor changes that I've seen so far that juice it up.

Whoa! Thanks for the heads up! You be safe too.

Argo - I heard it was pretty good. Is there a lot of action in that film?

Yes! I pre-ordered my copy later on yesterday. I went with the Two Disc Special Edition DVD + Ultraviolet Digital Copy. The movie will be released on 03/19, which is GREAT! I wish TBD was as fast as with their products. lol My dad didn't see the movie yet so I'm excited for him to check it out!

Not as cold is a plus. 13" - YOWSER! Bundle up and stay inside, unless you're a snowball fighting kind of warrior. lol

25" of snow! That's a bit excessive. lol

I read that Yazneg and Radagast are supposedly coming in the fall. Wave 2 better get here before then! lol If TBD is to make this wave available by summer 2013 via the rumors I have heard, the pre orders should be coming soon.

On a side note, I was able to get hold of a Captain Rex figure from Canada that was part of a canceled CW wave. I'm psyched! lol

Yes it is. lol I'm so ready for spring and summer. Its cold and fairly miserable around here right now

That is the info we got last night and posted to the article. I'm hoping Wave 2 might at worst be split into halves with some of it this summer and then in the fall. Maybe even seeing some of wave 3 this summer as well. I would expect PO fairly soon as well

Happy Friday to you as well. Cool

Gonna try. Thankfully there are only three and its just a matter of hoping to find them on ebay or friends that don't want them. Will do! I will take a pic of Gandalf this weekend and post it.

Yeah, we need some more stuff out there. If nothing else than to keep the ball rolling and people happy about the momentum of the collection. So I agree with you. I also agree because of my love for Middle-earth and seeing stuff out there makes me happy.

I dig Rex. I have Sideshow's 1:6th Rex and its one of the best in that line. Of the CW series? I like al the clone designs but Obi-Wan is one of my favroites just because I really like the character. I also love Darth Maul as we've discussed and I like Anakin as well.

Ice Age - such a GREAT film series! I actually want to see Oz; The Great and Powerful and Jack the Giant Slayer. Not sure if I'll hit the theater or just wait for them to come out on DVD. How was your weekend, man?

Thanks! Sounds good.

Ditto. I mean, we need some more official photos and information on these items. The shots taken from Toy Fair definitely lift momentum, but the lack of release dates and not being to pre order anything is kind of a buzz kill. TBD should start promoting to the public and distributors.

Nice! I feel like Rex is the icon for the CW series. I'm really curious to the fate of his character, along with that of Ahsoka Tano. Obi-Wan is a FANTASTIC character! I always enjoy the witty banter that goes on between him and Anakin.

Oz [In reply to] Can't Post

Yeah, I dig those films. Silly and fun which is a nice break of some of the many things most of us watch. I saw Jack this weekend and it was pretty fun. It was nothing that will set the world on fire but it was a fun film. Going to see Oz this weekend and will take my folks since my Dad is interested and my Mom loves the Wizard of Oz. It was good. Went by quick as usual. Yours?

Took a pick. Just have to post it.

Turning up the heat now with the BR about to land would be great timing and give a nice pick me up.

I am curious to see what happens to some of these guys/gals as well. I mean we know they're not in Episodes 3-6. So what happened to them? That is something I'd be curious to find out. The relationship between him and Anakin in this series and in the movies is what really helps the PT era stuff.

Battle Beasts ar Back! [In reply to] Can't Post

That's for sure. Cool beans on Jack. I guess I should say, "Magic Beans"? lol Let me know how you like Oz. I'm not sure if I'll be going to the theater for that, or just wait until it comes out on DVD.

My weekend was fun, thanks! A friend and I met up with my parents in Atlantic City. We did some solid shipping and ate like the place was going out fo business. No pun intended there. My dad auctioned off a few cars in the Car Show too, which was neat!

Speaking of pick me ups, do you remember Battle Beasts from Hasbro? You may have had some when you were a kid. Well, Minimates brought them back! They're not the same, but they look GREAT! I picked up the TRU exclusive line off of Ebay yesterday.

Rex came in the mail, btw. He looks AWESOME! lol

Me too. They may all perish in battle, or at the hands of Anakin or some other villain, sad as it sounds. One alternative is that Rex lives out the rest of his life serving the Grand Army of the Republic. Ahsoka may escape and go into hiding.

Good! Sounds like a fun time. I bet there are some good food there for folks to eat. Did you all do any wagering of money? Did he auction them himself or does he just put them in and let someone else sell them?

Where those the ones with the thing on their waists that you rubbed and the hologram glowed?

This is why I'm glad Disney has it and may do more films. If done right they can really add to the SW saga and make it even cooler.

Creativity Points [In reply to] Can't Post

The food at the casinos in AC is top notch! We got down on Alaskan King Crabs Legs, tons of desserts, Pork Rolls with Eggs and Cheese, etc. My dad enters his cars with a dealer. He does get to drive them up on to the stage, but the dealer auctions them off. It's pretty cool!

I don't remember the rings, but the original figures did have holograms on them. You can Google "Antalor" if you want to check out what the new Battle Beasts look like. I actually ordered Volume 1 of the comic series yesterday on Amazon. Looking fwd to reading that when it arrives!

Agreed. I wonder what Disney is going to do for Episodes 7, 8, and 9? Still, I have faith and am very excited! I kind of like the CW because they were able to make up brand new, never before seen characters, galaxies, etc. The creativity is awesome!

Speaking of movies, Argo and Wreck it Ralph arrived in the mail yesterday so I should be watching those over the weekend.

Yeah, food at the Casinos can be really good. Sounds like you have some great choices for sure. Can't talk too much or I'll get hungry and its too early to get hungry. lol

That's what I thought. I had a few of those as a kid. I didn't know they were bringing them back. That's awesome! I never even knew about a comic series either but I think I was long past those figures at anypoint with them doing comics on them.

That's a good question. It sounds like the original cast is going to come back and be in a mentor roll. So I'd say the main characters will be their kids or something like that. Is an intersting take and allows for SW to continue on and not try recasting roles. I agree on the CW. It has allowed SW to become a depper universe which I think its better for.

Nice! Argo is awesome! I still need to see Ralph but I think I will end up liking it from what I've seen.

From Batman to Birdman [In reply to] Can't Post

If that's the case, I won't go into too many details about the dessert...lol

Yea, they were and still are really cool! I actually showed my parents the newer versions of the figures I ordered. My mom vaguely remembered them, but my dad was all over it! lol I found an AWESOME figure of The Dark Knight Returns online! Mattel did a nice job on this one. I ordered mine off of BBTS yesterday. Did you see the cartoon movies? They were very interesting. It definitely puts a twist on Batman in his old age.

Regarding Batman, I read that Michael Keaton is supposed to play Birdman in the upcoming film. I have no idea how that is going to go, but I am super excited to see (who was in my opinion) the best Batman be the superhero once again!

I'm glad that the old cast is coming back for the new SW films. Seeing Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill on screen together again in these particular roles is PHENOMINAL! Of course, I'm looking fwd to all of the merchandise that will follow these epic movies as well.

From the pics I saw, it looks like Bofur and Nori will be sold individually and not as a 2 pack. It's not a big deal, but I thought that was a bit odd.

For some reason that's how I read Batman and Birdman or what it made me think of. lol

Good idea! lol I always read these well before its time for me to eat.

That's awesome! Its always fun when you're folks are into or find what you're into cool. It for me helps make my love for Middle-earth even deeper. Sweet! What figure was it? I've not seen any of them to be honest. I've read posts about that some of them are really good and in someways if Nolan was going to do some of the things he did he should have follwed these cartoons.

Interesting. I've not seen that. I still to this day enjoy watching that version of Batman. Its a little more comic book cheese than Nolan's films but I at times think its closer to what Batman should be in a movie.

It is cool. I saw that Fischer is coming back now as well. So its going to be intersting to see the whole gang back together. As I said its the thing I'm most intrigued by. The merchandise is going to be crazier than we've ever seen before.

That would be odd if all the others are in two packs. I'd bet by the time we get to Comic-Con we'll see them in a 2 pack.
