Poll: Have you stopped reading new information about The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey?
Yes. I don't want to know anything more until I see it.
Somewhat. I still read a little bit of the new information, but try to hold back.
No. I want to know everything about AUJ and I want to know it now!
Actually, I've already seen AUJ. I'm a lucky beggar, aren't I?

I'd probably be more leery of spoilers if I didn't already know the story [In reply to] Can't Post

But the cat's already out of the bag for the most part, so I'm indulging myself. Tongue

I kind of thought that about TTT [In reply to] Can't Post

...then I read that Haldir died at Helm's Deep and that was it. I decided I could, indeed, be spoiled.

I stopped a few weeks ago [In reply to] Can't Post

and I have been doing pretty well! I asked my FB friends not to link me to Hobbit related stuff, unless it's fanart, or things like cakes shaped like the ring, hehe. Occasionally I will accidentally see a still from the TV spots on FB, TORn, or tumblr, but I just scroll past

Only 2 days to go, now! Then I can look at everything!

Not Really [In reply to] Can't Post

Images and news from the next two installments have begun before the first one is even released. Anyone wishing to be unspoiled will have to abstain through summer '14. Waiting for the last few weeks is fashionable, but really not all that worthwhile. You'll have to practice self-control way before then.

I'm not too worried [In reply to] Can't Post

about spoilers from the next two movies - I'll just go back to casual-spoiler-viewing, rather than I-have-to-analyse-every-frame-spoiler-viewing.

Not worthwhile for you, maybe [In reply to] Can't Post

For others of us, we don't want to avoid all the spoilers, but want to avoid too much stuff relating to finished scenes and people's accounts of the actual movie.

It's been very worthwhile for me.

I read and watched everything having to do with AUJ [In reply to] Can't Post

that i could get my grubby little internet fingers on. Mainly because i was so familiar with the opening chapters of the book-- i've started reading The Hobbit many more times than i've finished it-- that i considered myself already spoiled. With DoS, i'm going to try to be a lot less spoilery, and just stick to trailers, vlogs, and major magazine articles, and stop hanging around here so much when all the details start to come out. Yeah, we'll see how that goes...
