I love foxes, and especially the fox in the LOTR book! I hope PJ make amends by showing us an elegant red fox lurking about near Bilbo & co. If not, well, PJ did pretty well on the animal department this time, nonetheless. Who can resist Radagast's hedgehogs? And with film 2, we'll also see Beorn's creatures. That will be marvellous.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

It's near impossible to follow the book at 100% there... the best solution IMO is to just zoom in at the fox, with a suspicious look on his face. Or they could just give the fox a monologue narrated by Morgan Freeman!

that just a glimpse of the fox somewhere in the background would be enough for us....just as an insider nod. And we would know what he was thinking. But since PJ turned the walk to Crickhollow into a race to the Ferry, there really wasn't room even for a fox cameo. Alas....

I do find it silly, but not TO silly, and I am a fan of silly things Also, I am a great supporter of the minority, so therefor I feel a strong urge to back you up everytime I see a purse-discussion!
