and *all* types are against out terms of service. If you directly insult someone's opinion it's just the same as insulting their person. And, do *you* actually read what people post here? JW didn't accuse people of hysteria, he made a tongue-in-cheek comment about people, in general, sometimes being forgetful. There was nothing directly insulting to anyone, or to anyone's opinion, in his post.

And I maintain that I do not, and have not, insulted anyone. In my posts, I offer my personal opinion on the subject matter, and occasionally, if I find that someone seems to be attacking either me or other people, I address the tone of their comments. I believe you will not find one shred of evidence that I have purposefully attacked someone's character. The accusation is baseless.

For insulting JW's insult! I was under the mistaken impression, because he responded to me, that he was accusing me of 'amnesia,' which was at the root of my rather intemperate response. I did not know he was addressing a general mass of other TORNistas. I apologized to JW for that, which would have ended the discussion had Kangi not made another comment about it. I will try to more cordially take issue with the tone of other posters' insults in the future. Definitely some irony in here somewhere...

JW was not addressing people in general, as people in general were not raising questions about the Mirkwood colors. He was addressing people here that were raising concerns about those colors, seemingly, though not necessarily, because they were forgetting about the RED Epic color-eating issue (subsequent responses show that some of those posters are aware of the issue, but still believe the sheer brightness of the colors mean some of it will come through). Indeed, in his subsequent post, he stated that his message was indeed aimed at others' posts. That contradicts the assumption that he was speaking to people 'in general.' The tone and substance of the post was unnecessarily insulting, and directed at people in this thread. Bu it was a minor insult, and not worth yammering on about. I generally like th guy!

13 Gimli clones would obviously be a bit on the extreme side, but then, I'd consider beardless dwarves to be extreme, only on the other end of the spectrum. I would think there's plenty of room in-between, no need to make it an either/or kind of issue. Really though, it's only but a select few that I object to, and I'm a big fan of what they did with the majority of the company; Distinctive, dwarf-looking, and with interesting details that you can't help but wonder about. I think the fact that at least half of the company displays these traits, shows that there's plenty you can do to achieve interesting and unique designs, without deviating from dwarven characteristics.

Interesting to see that the dwarves will fight off the spiders together with the elves (after which they will presumably be taken prisoners). Also, some insight from the descriptions of the dwarves: - Bifur's axe-head is from an orc's axe; No mining accident or anything. - Bofur, as suspected, will stand for a lot of comic relief. - Óin...not a direction I was expecting, I can say that. I guess we know now from where Gimli learned all about the nervous system.

- The Dwarves and the Elves fight the spiders together - Bilbo has to escape from a cocoon - I reckon the dwarves have been listed in importance - love the sound of Oin. Now we know who looks after Bifur

I have to say, that THIS is what I've been waiting for. The excitement of getting new pictures of significant news and fans making scans and finding larger images and creating websites to put them on. And actor's fan sites, too.. (waves at Ali and her RA site) Back in the day, I had my favorite LOTR sites and many have shown the tattering of time with images missing or broken links. And some are just plain gone. That was then. But I can remember how many times I checked them out and linked others to them. This is now. I'm happy. Very happy.

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

Why didn't you say you were insulting his insult? That would have made it *so* much more acceptable. It's not *that* big of a deal. If it was, I would have edited it or removed the sub-thread. It was more an observation, and a general reminder that a bit of care in one's choice of words (as well as taking others' choice of words with a big grain of salt), can make all the difference.
