I certainly Hope Dwalin does at least have a blue tinted beard. [In reply to] Can't Post

He is one of only five dwarves who get a really deatailed physical description, and as outlandish as a few of the others have been, a little blue shading in the grey seems tame by comparison. There really is no excuse not to stay true to text on this one now. lol

"Hear me, hounds of Sauron, Gandalf is here! Fly if you value your foul skins, I will shrivel you from tail to snout if you step within this circle!"

Bombur's hair braid...is that his WIFE's hair? [In reply to] Can't Post

The article said that Bombur and Gloin were the only two married Dwarves...could it be that Bombur is wearing a "braid necklace" made from his wife's hair, a sort of "good luck piece" given from her to him for the journey?

I think they're really gross, I'd rather not have to see them again. The one on the far right looks like he has an extremely low-quality, fake wig and beard unevenly pasted on.

I almost thought of it...it may be from that film "Freaks".

Anyway, here's the gang thus far...

Group Photo (yet another version) [In reply to] Can't Post

All I did was stick the new guys on the end of someone else's group image, and hopefully I matched their sizes close enough. I also tried lightening up the image a bit, and did my best to enhance the colors: http://i51.tinypic.com/v63zfk.jpg

These are amazing designs. If you'll notice in the high-res photo, that's a brutal scar, and a chunk of iron stuck into Bifur's forehead, probably from a former accident in the mines. Brutal!
