Orlando in or out [In reply to] Can't Post

I don't think it means Orlando's necessarily in, just because he is not allowed to talk about it. It could be simply that they have not yet decided, and do not want to raise people's hopes/make them angry for nothing.

I hope he's not added in, because it would require some sort of fake side-plot that we do not need to be added. Too often, when new stuff is added, the good original bits are thrown by the wayside...

But we'll see. :)

By all rights Legolas would have been residing at the Woodland Realm [In reply to] Can't Post

at the time Thorin & Company were held there, so his presence would be acceptable and not be a "fake side-plot". However, as I said earlier, If they make him central to the plot in any really significant way they will be treading close to the edge.

I hope we'll see Legolas in the hall of Tranduil, [In reply to] Can't Post

with a few lines maybe, no big role
And at the battle of the five armies, no big role there either. Just something to be remembered for, while not stealing the spotlight from any of the main characters ;)

I only want Legolas in the film if Orlando playes the role. [In reply to] Can't Post

As Legolis is not needed for the Hobbit [In reply to] Can't Post

I would think that the only way PJ would include the character would be if Orly agrees to play the part.

Maybe Rupert Friend is available? [In reply to] Can't Post

Separated at birth?

Jk if it ain't Orlando Bloom I would rather they just left Legolas out of it entirely.

I was just watching a little of Cherie last night, and it occured to me then [In reply to] Can't Post

that Rupert is very like Orlando. Great minds think alike, Sir D. And I still agree--if Orli doesn't want to do it, then he should be left out altogether. Although already, for me, this would be a disappointment. I'm not a fanGirl (I'm far too old to be THAT!) but I think that he should have a cameo at Mirwood in his dad's home, and at the BoFA. Short, but sweet.

Why replace him when digital copies are so easy? [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm sure they'll just include a CGI Legolas if they can't get Bloom, just like they will with Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, and Elvis! Evil

You laugh, but that's an interesting question... [In reply to] Can't Post

if A Christmas Carol had used only Colin Firth's appearance (and the way he walks) without his voice and without his permission, could they have gotten away with it?

If it's possible to make a digital version of a persons voice...
Is there any copyright issues with using that in films?

THANK YOU! [In reply to] Can't Post

I've been wanting these two actors to play brothers in a movie for AGES! Their resemblance to each other is remarkable, isn't it? Hell, if they could hire Rupert Friend as another elf part, it would work!
