Never been in a chat like this. Unfortunately I was the only one in my room, although I could see some remarks of other people. I didn't have a comment button either. The last answers went really fast. I copied and pasted almost everything into email to myself (I'm not at my own computer right now). I'm happy with the answers. Too bad it will be an extra year waiting (hoped, it would be 2010 and 2011 for release). But hopefully it will be worth the wait.
I'm off re-reading some of the stuff and waiting for the transcript to be put on the Weta site.
I'm happy!

I've been so discouraged over not having been able to find any way to keep Zone Alarm from blocking the Java chat window here on TORN (although I fully agree that Java is evil!) But mIRC I know and trust! So glad I will now be able to visit Barliman's after all! Thanks again!

I think once they'd actually got to the point where they had confirmed GDT as the director, it was way to late in the day to make a 2010 release. Especially if you consider they are filming both movies back to back!

Hadn't been to one either. It was a great experience.
I liked most of the responses, and both my questions were answered, so it was worth it!

It was very confusing as to why some questions were getting through and come weren't. Granted, I'm new to online chats in the first place, so I figured I was doing something wrong. However, after reading your transcript, I felt less confused. Thank you for your diligence.

Do you use Zone Alarm fire wall? If so, you will need to make mIRC a "safe" program.

Sometimes it decides that mIRC is a virus, silly thing. You just need to unblock IRC in your... IM settings, I believe. And you may need to make mIRC a "safe program"

I don't think I have Zone Alarm - I was trying on my work laptop and it has McAfee. I did go through the instructions, but I get a "Software caused connection to Abort" message and I never get to a point I can join. I tried to check the McAfee settings and could not add irc to my safe list - the settings are all grayed out for me. However, it's not on the forbidden list!

I submited a lot of questions, though the one I wanted most to be answered didn't make it, but I still got one question answered by PJ and del Toro!
Oh, I asked them if the 2 movies will be shot together. (I really hope they answered more about casting.)
But I'm happy!!!

Well, I must say I was a bit disappointed about the outcomes of the whole live chat. I was hoping to get to know more about the script and the cast.
Maybe it's all because of the ongoing lawsuit that they can't reveal much about the whole project yet, but it was like waiting for Santa and then just seeing him wave and being told that he'll come back another time...
Anyway, I still liked the idea of having this whole event!

Simply because they had taken time out of their busy schedules to come visit a bit, answering what they could since obviously this is the very beginnings of a great journey we're about to go on. Nice to meet the 'bus drivers' that are taking us along for the ride. I am just pleased overall!
A nice way to spend an hour!
