just alittle tip i had to log out then back in to see the send a comment tab in my party window. I had been logged in since 8.30GMT
currently GDT a pair of mods and the host in my room.
it's good to have an end to journey towards, but it's the journey that matters in the end

My summary would be that GDT definitely wants to keep to The Hobbit book- talking animals, 13 dwarves, Beorn, idiosyncracies in the plot- he wants to keep them all! He obviously really loves the original story.
Also it seems like all the big decisions on the film 2 story are still to be made in the process of writing. It's a big gamble but should make an exciting next few years of rumours and discussion!

And I agree with you, burrahobbit.
I liked Jackson's explanation on why he is not directing these movies. It seemed true and quite reasonable.
