Possibly JRD; almost certainly not Gimli.

Unfortunately, one grunt isn't much to go on. John Rhys-Davies could conceivably have gotten a cameo in that scene, but couldn't possibly have been playing Gimli. Gloin's boy was supposed to have been born in the Blue Mountains in the year 2879 (Third Age) long after Smaug invaded Erebor. In Tolkien's legendarium, Smaug drove the Dwarves out of Erebor in 2770. For the films, my best estimate is that it couldn't have happened later than 2820. I don't think that Gimli's year of birth could be pushed back enough to place him in Erebor prior to The Hobbit even as an infant.
