Is Thursday inherently funnier than Friday?

[Gandalf explains to Thorin]""...Thráin your father went away on the twenty-first of April, a hundred years ago last Thursday, and has never been seen by you since--"

We can tell that Tolkien had not yet developed the Shire Calendar when he wrote The Hobbit because April 21 would have fallen on a Friday in the Shire Reckoning. One wonders if Thrain's departure might have been on a Thursday in the reckoning of Durin's Folk. That would neatly explain the discrepancy and why it was never corrected in later editions (let's leave aside the issue of the birth-order of Fili and Kili).

We do learn from other sources that Balin and Dwalin were among the companions who accompanied Thrain into Wilderland and that those followers searched for him for days after he disappeared in the eaves of Mirkwood in the year 1245 (2845 T.A.).

April 21, 2850 (S.R. 1250)
1. Gandalf returns to Dol Guldur and learns that the evil presence is Sauron. Gandalf finds Thráin in the dungeon and receives the map and key of the Lonely Mountain from him.

Come clean, gramma! Wink Other than the year (1250 Shire Reckoning) this date is completely and utterly fabricated by yourself. Tolkien gives no indication of the date when Gandalf entered Dol Guldur beyond our knowing the year.
