Yes, all the quotes I gave were from The Hobbit. Remember that the Fellowship never traveled through Mirkwood or the Woodland Realm (other than Legolas calling it home and Aragorn having taken Gollum there after he captured him).

It is one of my hopes that Christopher Tolkien or someone else will unearth a lost genealogy for the Elves of Mirkwood that reveals how Thranduil was related to Thingol, Legolas' year-of-birth, the name of Thranduil's queen (and how long she lived) and whether Leggy had any siblings.

The Wood-elves/Silvan Elves might have included one or more groups of the Nandor who never passed beyond the Misty Mountains (also called the Laiquendi or Green-elves). The Nandor were numbered among the Teleri because they did begin the Great Journey even though they never completed it.
