So Guillermo Del Toro is in talks to direct The Hobbit ...

... I don't know what to feel. I'm just sad that for whatever reason, PJ won't direct. I mean, after all the wrangling and all, why did PJ commit to other projects if he really wanted to make The Hobbit? I supposed he of all people would know the status of the rights for these movies, being privy it all. Anyway, I keep asking myself, "So he finally settled for executive producer? I always thought PJ would find "some" way to direct The Hobbit. I was always afraid I'd remember him as good ol' PJ who passed the Hobbit on for Tintin". It's come true Frown

Of course, Del Toro is a pretty good director, and I'm excited about this whole collaboration with PJ and co. I'm just apprehensive with having another level of doubt and uncertainty as to how it will all play out in the end. Who knows, it might even be better than the "PJ-only" LOTR trilogy Tongue

Edit: Oops, I almost forgot. Read one of the (now-redundant) news stories here.
