Which differ from the runes found in the LotR appendices (which were of Elvish origin, rather than Dwarvish**). So in order to be true to The Hobbit, they will have to use the system based on the Erebor runes! **Edited to amend this: Daeron invented the runes, the Dwarves adapted them for their own uses. The Erebor runes are a variation of the runic system found in the Appendices.
