Could be, could be ...

Believe it or not, Aragorn would have been living in Rivendell at the time of The Hobbit -- but he'd have only been ten years old! A little scene where Bilbo runs into a ten-year old kid named Estel while in Rivendell would be highly entertaining to fans in the know, but I don't know if that's what you're thinking of.

However, an adult Aragorn would play a big role in a "bridge" movie that links the events of The Hobbit with Lord of the Rings, and Viggo Mortensen could certainly reprise his role then.

With caffeine, all things are possible.

The pity of Bilbo will screw up the fate of many.
