This was a pleasure to read! (*Note: minor spoiler discussion at end of my post*)

I was transported by the descriptions of the lush landscape, the panoramic views, the intense sunlight and colors, the massive party tree (now we know it's not CGI), the iconic images, and the pastoral menagerie. I loved the part about the renegade cow - too funny!! (It would be comical if they could incorporate a similar moment in the film's introductory scene).

Although it was a minor spoiler, I like the proposed "60-yrs earlier" transition from old Bilbo to young Bilbo outside of Bag End.
