I recall having responded to a similar thread in the Pollantìr not so long ago but I've no problem responding again since my favorite characters seems to change at times.
It is difficult for me to narrow it down to one character but if I must I'll probably choose Gandalf. Charismatic, wise, mystic, powerful, strange he's pretty much got everything that makes it a great character. Who can think of LOTR without thinking of Gandalf? Not me. No wonder is as become over years a figure, an emblem. I also very much like character such as Aragorn, Merry, Galadriel, Frodo, Sam, Legolas, Tùor, Tùrin, Finarfin, Fingolfin, Turgon.
