A mimosa to start the day, please barkeep!

I'm at my computer eating cereal and listening to evidence that one of my neighbours has a rooster. One part of me thinks it's cute; another part is glad I'm not an immediate neighbour. (The blighter won't shut up.)

Overnight we finally, finally got decent rain! Proper saturating rain that the thirsty ground can drink in. I've got my fingers crossed that the front reached the places around the North Island that are desperately dry - including a friend in the north whose water tank is down to a fortnight's supply if they're very careful with their use.

Happy end of the week, everyone! :)

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Fantasy novel - The Arcanist's Tattoo
