A very far stretch would be an extremely good reception and the frontrunner for the technical categories disappointing on all levels (Interstellar). Than TH could slip in for some of the technical stuff for nominations. Still, in the VFX department Planet of the Apes would probably still come before Bot5A as a win.

We all have our hearts and minds one way or another invested in these books and movies. So we all mind and should show the necessary respect.
