Thanks for clarifying your view on this; the three-part classification (Numinous, Creation Myth, and Beyond) wasn't in the OP. In my opinion, this ex post facto scheme underscores my point about such things being subjective.

Taking Númenor again as an example, you state that it doesn't fall into the Numinous (e.g., the Valar) or Creation Myth categories, but the reason for excluding it from the Beyond category seems vague and definitely subjective:

(My emphasis in the above quote). I believe the show has done a fairly good job in this regard, mentioning but never showing the Valar or The One, and offering only a brief glimpse of Valinor. I see nothing special about Rhûn or Forodwaith; seeing those places as the settings for storylines made the show more interesting.
