I don't think I opened my computer once after clocking out of work Friday night - such a great feeling!
In terms of what's making me smile, I suppose a positive first visit with a new dentist is a very literal answer! I had a bad experience with the last one (when my uvula was swollen for 2+ weeks, yuck) so was a bit anxious about the dentist generally after that. My girlfriend booked me with hers and we had a dual appointment together, and I ended up really liking the place. They were very considerate of my anxiety due to the last experience and had great bedside manner so I'd be comfortable. Phew! One less thing to worry about now.
Another relief is that my dad had a successful heart procedure a few days ago. A relatively minor one, but still something that makes you lose some sleep thinking about it.
We're coming off of a rare streak of several nights in a row of dinners with various folks. I think my social battery for the next two weeks is depleted as a result. Dinner at home tonight never sounded so relaxing! 
In the meantime, the Dodgers beat their somewhat new rivals (the San Diego Padres) in three straight games this weekend, so that was a pleasant surprise after a disappointing past few weeks. Almost time for playoff baseball!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I'll have a Dr Pepper for the road, please!
