I saw AUJ at the BFI IMAX last year

And it was fantastic. I saw someone on their Facebook page today complain of the motion blur but when people use the sort of internet hyperbole in their postings as they did (" I felt like my eyes were raped and stomach turned inside out after watching The Hobbit in BFI IMAX last year") it loses any meaning to me - if you have to exaggerate that much to make your point then perhaps it isn't a point worth making? Anyway, perhaps it depends on the angle - I sat about two-thirds back in the centre and had no problems at all. I thought it looked (and sounded) incredible. Still, you'd better be quick if you want to go opening weekend - the tickets are selling fast for their screenings. Which also shows that it must have looked fine to most people last year Got mine booked for the BFI IMAX 3D on Sunday 22nd! Have also got lined up (but don't need to book tickets for) a midnight staff screening in 2D on the 13th (or 12th, depending on how you look at it) and a midday screening in 3D at another local cinema on the 13th (I saw all three LOTR and AUJ there on opening days so it's tradition). Plus plans for another 2D screening with my fiancée's parents, a digital IMAX visit with an old New Zealand travel buddy and an HFR 3D viewing, which will probably be by myself as my fiancée will be sick of it by then Oh, and a screening of An Unexpected Journey: Extended Edition on the big screen the week before, to warm up.
