Problems with the sites "Social Media"

I really hate to complain, but I have become more than a little frustrated with news and tidbits delivered through theonerings Facebook and Twitter accounts. Of course I understand that not everyone out there shares my same feelings and preferences on what is shown and not shown, but it seems to be more common place to post details and even pictures (specifically with the latest trailer and the AUJ EE) directly into the social media's "feed" without warning or spoilers.

I would understand this if the film and the EE were in wide release, or had been in the public for a few weeks or even days...but there were descriptions of the trailer moments after it's release and now descriptions and screencaps of the EE. I know the EE is availible on itunes, but surely someone responsible has to realize that most people (or at least a huge amount) have not and will not see the EE 'til its physical release. Because of these tidbits and pictures and comments I've now blocked theonerings twitter account from my feed and am very close to doing the same on Facebook. I even posted a suggestion on the Facebook page to perhaps not do this (which is just my opinion, if the site admin wants to ignore it I realize my thoughts are not the only ones to be considered), which was met with name-calling. That is completely unacceptable and something that I know wouldn't be tolerated on the main site. And i'm not referring to the articles written about the details of the EE.. of course I have zero problem with that because I have the option of not clicking on the story. But it really feels like my option of that is becoming increasingly limited.

If this is just "how it's going to be", then I guess that is understandable since not everyone has my preferences. But then I will have to leave the social media portions of tORN behind.

I have supported and visited this site for the last 13 years and been very vocal to my friends about the way the people who run this site handle themselves and the content and how respect is given to all kinds of fans and opinions. I have even given my money on several occasions, so when dissatisfied I feel like I have the right to share. I do feel like the delivery of news and information has changed in the last year or so in a way that fells alienating.

I'm not even sure if this is the right forum for it..but it was what I thought would be the best place. Thank you for taking the time to read this, the tone of it probably comes of as a bit more harsh than is intended, but I guess that is the nature of the internet!
