The way I origionally interpreted it, "moon day" was Monday, but then he talked "add each day of the week" coupled with "four days" meant that the Announcement would come Thurs or Fri (maximum weekend Online discussion time for fans.) But then this sounded puzzling b/c such a huge announcement, corporate-wise, would run counter to the Media News Cycle. Most major Media stories, when the White House wants to release one, or some big local news story, would be to release them on a Monday morning, for maximum weekly media exposure. The Eliot Spitzer scandal hit the headlines on Monday morning. A lot of scandals do. Then I saw Kimi's "time zone" explanation and it makes sense!!!! An Announcement on Sunday, 7 PM LA time ("joined with" 2 PM NZ time) would give the story maximum Hollywood media exposure, since it would hit the headlines Monday morning. 7 PM LA time (10 PM Eastern Daylight Time) Sunday night, and the news will be global by midnight. Which means it would hit the Reuters, AP wires etc by early Monday morning. Then Del Toro's "more each day of the week"/every 24 hrs means that after the story breaks on Monday (or Tuesday in the Hollywood Trades---Variety, etc) more details will be added daily, in the peak weekday news cycle. We'd learn more each day in the Trades about the Lawsuit resolution, etc etc. PJ and GDT are timing a joint news conference/Announcement, esp if they are going to be revealing potential casting decisions, to let fans know they are working in sync.So no controversy, right from the get-go. And they appear to be doing this to take advantage of the Weekly Media Cycle. Which may or may not be a Warner's/NL corporate directive. That's my thought. We shall see! Oh, and again, welcome, GDT, since it really does seem to be you!
