I myself take great comfort in the words of Our Lord: "No one knows the day nor the hour." You just have to act like the end of the world is indeed nigh, and be on your best behavior to your fellow man, woman, child, animal, tree, and other forms of God's Kingdom, for we are entrusted to be its Caretakers and Stewards. We are charged with this holy duty.
For example: I LOVE Viggo's words: "Children are God. Pay attention." Someday I am going to have those words framed.

But hey, if Dec 2012 is the end of it all, At least yeah, it'll be the best way possible to enter the Halls of Mandos! I'll just grab an iced tea, some chocolate, and head for a theater!
