Collider Interview - Gollum set between The Hobbit and LotR?

Andy Serkis answered some questions about Hunt For Gollum with Collider and says it's a "sizeable movie" -

One thing I noticed here is the claim that the movie will take place between the events of LotR and The Hobbit. Despite what we heard from Boyens recently: “It’s quite an intense story, which falls after the birthday party of Bilbo and before the Mines Of Moria,” https://www.empireonline.com/...pa-boyens-exclusive/

I know this is likely a mistake by Collider. But I'm really holding onto hope that the production delay was created by the decision to move the events to before LotR. I just feel it would be a much more interesting story that way even if it's not as book accurate. I hope they've at least considered it and come to their own conclusion for what's right.
